Carlingford Refugee Support Fundraiser at SKYPARK was a great success.
In keeping with the spirit of things, the weather decided to be charitable and stayed dry and autumnal for a Family Fun day hosted by Carlingford Refugee Support. SKYPARK generously opened its gates to host the outdoor event on Sunday the 25th of October with over 250 people turning up to show their support.
The Little ones were kept busy, first burning energy on bouncy castles and slides provided by Budgie Boyle, then sitting still to have their face's painted by the Hernandez Sisters from faraway Venezuela. Some were adventurous enough to go on KidZone and try out a mini version of SKYPARK.
The older kids and adults challenged themselves on zip lines, suspended bridges, cargo nets, aerial skate boards on SKYPARK and tried their hand at Archery and Body Zorbing. Comfort in the form of heat, hot soup (courtesy of Liberty Cafe, Mc Kevitts Hotel and Sheila Keiro) and the obligatory cup of tae was had in the Hub, hosted by volunteers from the community.
People came from all over the country to support the cause. The funds raised will be split between Saint Vincent de Paul and the Migration Crisis Appeal of the Irish Red Cross. The Carlingford Refugee Support Group wish to thank those who offered their services and those who came to enjoy the day.
